Assistant Professor
Boston College
Boston, MA, United States
Dr. Maggi Price is an Assistant Professor at Boston College, a psychology fellow at Harvard University, and an applied mental health disparities researcher. Broadly, she studies the impact of stigma (e.g., racism, transphobia) on mental health. Dr. Price has two active complementary domains of research. The first explores how stigma across multiple levels, such as racist discrimination and transphobic laws/policies - create and sustain mental health disparities. Her second area of research focuses on developing and testing multilevel interventions to reduce stigma, such as interventions that improve mental health and school services for transgender youth. Dr. Price’s work has been recognized in multiple awards and prestigious fellowships from local and national organizations, such as the National Institutes of Health, the Journal of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and the American Psychological Association. Her intervention research is currently funded by grants from her university and an Early Career Award from the National Institute of Mental Health.
