Indigenous women are at three times higher risk for sexual victimization than any other racial group (Murphy-Oikonen et al., 2022). Flip the Script (FtS, Senn et al., 2015) is widely utilized sexual assault prevention education program, however, its’ acceptability is poorly understood and to-date psychometrically evaluated acceptability assessments have not been investigated among Indigenous utilizers. We aimed to evaluate the performance and factor structure of an acceptability measure, the North Dakota Sexual Victimization Intervention Acceptability Measure (NDSVIAM) with additional items tailored for Indigenous Americans (NDSVIAM-I version). Participants were administered descriptions of four different sexual violence prevention programs, including FTS. All participants completed the NDSVIAM in relation to FTS and one intervention of their choice. Indigenous college students (N = 377), data was randomly split into two groups for EFA and CFA analyses. From a pool of 16 initial acceptability items, EFA analyses detected two potentially satisfactory models: an eight-item single factor model of intervention acceptability and a second two-factor model including an additional item associated with recommending the intervention to other Indigenous survivors. Subsequent CFA testing of both models identified good fit of the briefer eight item one factor solution (CMin/DF = 1.795, CFI = .956 , TLI = .938, RMSEA = .063, AIC = 83.9) in comparison with the two factor that failed to converge. Mean item scores will also be reported. Identification of a psychometrically robust model of FtS acceptance and acceptance norms provide critical information on Indigenous utilizer perspectives and improve sexual violence prevention efforts for Indigenous women.
